Work, Rain, & More

A funny thing happened at work. Or least you should find it funny. Anyways, I was taking out keys of my pocket. Then I noticed my car keys were not in my pocket. So I was like did I set them down somewhere. But I would know if I did or not. So I went and checked my car and sure enough they were there in the ignition. I then got the idea to try and break into my car the old school way by using a hanger. But I was unsuccessful. Then I all of a sudden got this brainwave, which should have came to earlier, to use my CAA card. Well I am under my dad's name. But that is irrelevant to the story. I was like DUH!!! So I phoned and I got a tow truck to come and unlock my car.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More rain. Like that is what we need. It was raining as I was coming home from work. This rain will slow down harvest for the farmers. My dad has been getting the canola off the field. I should say my dad's friend has been helping him big time. My dad's friend Ken has been combining the canola. Even though rain is good for canola. The rain will slow down the process of getting it off. Enough dry weather will help dry things enough so farmers can get the crops off. Just pray for the farmers to get their crop off in time. Also pray for the farmers to stay safe while working in field.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well another hurricane is on it's way to New Orleans. It's even headed to Houston Texas. New Orleans were not ready for one hurricane. They certainly are not ready for another hurricane. Rita started out as a tropical storm then it turned into a hurricane in one day. It's amazing and terrifiying the power Mother Nature has. You should never under estimate the Mother Nature. People are evacuating but it took people 12 hours to move 54 miles or something like that. Some are choosing to tough it out. I pray that they know what they are doing. I hope Hurricane Rita, a category 4 hurricane, doesn't do as much damage. But we will just have to wait and see.

I pray that people stay safe and hope they get to safety soon. People are evacuating to Houston and Hurricane Rita is headed right for Houston. I pray that it dies down and before then. That is all we can at times is pray.

If you want to help in anyway. I encourage you to read part of the following blog post I made.

New Music Video Is Up

Well, I finally decided on a video to put up. I was testing out some videos but they were too dark against my black background. So I thought to go with Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Past Videos Of The Week

Youth Of The Nation by P.O.D. (Payable On Death): 09-12-05 - 09-19-05

Wicked-Wrestling.com Update

Well, I told you that Wicked-Wrestling.com is no more. Not any longer. The webmaster told me yesterday that he was able to get it. He said that he was surprised that he got it back. It is great that he got his site back and everything. Now he is working on the site getting it back and what not.

The forums are up and running. So I encourage you to join. Although, if the webmaster knew how to update the forums without having to start over then that would be great. But it is also not a big deal either. So don't hesitate to join if you were a member before.

Wicked-Wrestling.com Is No More

Well I tried to access that site which I post news for and nothing. So I never really thought nothing of it. Keep in mind that the click here to enter page got hacked. We were still able to access the site, forums, and all. So the webmaster got that all sorted out. Blah, blah, blah.

So I checked back today and I couldn't access anything to do with the site. So I PMed the webmaster on AIM as to what the problem is. He told me that the same DOUCHE BAG hacker hacked his entire site. To top it all off, the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment contacted him and told him to stop and I mean STOP uploading their pay-per-views to the site and what not. I am not surprised that the WWE does this kind of thing. I guess it's understandable also.

The webmaster told me that he uploaded "HBK" Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan from SummerSlam 2005 on his server. He said that they must have had access and seen it.

So Wicked-Wrestling.com is no more. In it's place will be Astro-Wrestling.com. It is not up yet as the webmaster will begin working on it later today.

New Music Video, New Links, New Uber Cool Blog, & More

Well, I was too lazy to tell you this yesterday but there is a new music video up. The artist was requested by a good friend named Clinton. He wanted some Thousand Foot Krutch which I couldn't find. He wanted some Skillet which I didn't know any of the song. Then finally I gave him a song from his other choice P.O.D. (Payable On Death) . I put up Youth Of The Nation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple of new links have graced my list of links. I have Bible Gateway. A place to search for Bible passages in different versions of the Bible and in many different languages. So check that one out.

Also I have another link called iGod and it is an interesting site. All you do is click enter to go into the site. Then this chat window comes up and you type in stuff and it is supposed to be like your talking to God via the computer and what not. So check that out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If there is a site that you want on my list of links then don't hesistate to contact in one of many, many ways. Leave a comment, put a shout on the tagboard, drop me a line in my guestbook, email me, or PM me on AIM or MSN. Wheew, seems like a variety of ways. But it's good to have many ways for people to contact a person. Just remember that I review all submissions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I added a couple of new blogs to my list of "uber cool" blogs. I have added Dixie Vandersluy and Marc Vandersluy's blogs. Just look on the sidebar over to your right and you will find their blogs as well as other blogs of people that I know. So don't hesistate to check them out.

Let it Rain, Hurricane Katrina, & More!

Are you keeping dry in your part of the world??? I sure hope so because it has been wet, wet, wet in my neck of the woods lately. This bout of rain will slow down any harvest that has begun. But it won't effect small time farmers like my dad. He is not like the big time farmers that need start getting off their crops now. He can wait for it to dry before he will continue on with harvest. There is not much harvest being done in the Red Deer Hill area. But south of St. Louis in the Hoey area you will see people harvesting. There are a few big time farmers in that area and they are already doing some major harvesting.

I am not against it raining. Trust me, I am not. It's just that wicked crazy amounts of rain is not good either. See wicked crazy amounts can cause problems that we can't control like floods, mudslides, and other natural disasters. If it rains enough and not an excessive amount then I fine with it. But if it wants to rain then let it rain.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been thinking about what to write about Hurricane Katrina because the manitude of this disaster is something I can't even imagine. It's like cities are submerged under water like New Orleans for instance. The pictures on TV, internet, newspaper, and magazines, are enough to stop a person in there tracks and take notice.

Our lives may seem a thousand times better then those who are in Louisianna, Alabama, Mississippi because we can't even fathom being in such a natural disaster. The only natural disaster that we get in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada is a snow storm or a rainstorm. But snow and rain is a regular occurance here in my neck of the woods so we know how to ready ourselves for such weather. But places like New Orleans were not ready for such a disaster. They knew it was coming but they didn't prepare for it years in advance. They were not ready which is a shame.

My heart goes out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Just seeing those images and seeing how these people break down and cry really makes a person feel for them. Sure we may not know how they feel, but we try and comprehend in some little way what they must be going through. But in the grand scheme of things, we don't have the slightest clue as to what is going through there minds and how they must be feeling emotionally.

But watching a special Hurricane Katrina edition of Larry King Live, they had Bill Cosby asking people to donate there money towards food, shelter, clothing, and other items. You know that this has struck a chord with celebrities if they can personally send a message to the people watching. Bill Cosby said "I am begging you to please send in your money." Doesn't that send a powerful message??? A man of Bill Cosby's stature can go and beg without thinking twice. I know I would do it. I commend people who are trying to make a difference in this whole situation.

Doesn't it make you feel helpless knowing that you can't be down there helping in some way no matter. I know that some of would help if you had the chance. It would be a life changing experience that's for sure. But it's totally understandable if you got caught up in all the drama so to speak. But it still, for me anyways, would be a life changing experience.

I know that the hand of God is on them and is helping them get through all of this.

Psalm 139:10
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

I know that God will guide them along and show them what they need to do. They will take it one step at a time in this rebuilding process. The hand of God will be signal that he is right there by their side and helping them get through this lowest of low times.

Psalm 31:3
3 Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name lead and guide me.

They know that God is there strength in a time when they are so fragile and weak in an emoitional and even physical sense. God will guide them to a place of rest during this trying time.

Psalm 48:14
14 For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.

God will guide them to the end. God will guide them to where they are to go. They know that God is there through the good and the bad times. But this will certainly put their faith to the test. I have faith that they will in time pull through.

Now, if you would like to make a donation then I suggest you check out one of the following sites.

Red Cross Canada
American Red Cross

Red Cross has been their in times like these. I encourage you to make a donation to this orginization who has done so much for so many over the years.

Facts At A Glance

The facts on the American Red Cross website are startling. You don't truly know how much the Red Cross does until you see you the facts for yourself. Even then you don't can't comprehend what it's like to do what the Red Cross does.

Salvation Army In Canada
Salvation Army USA

Another worthwhile organization to donate money and goods to. They also do so much good at home and abroad. They need you to donate money and goods. They will send it the disaster torn areas of the southern United States. But they can't do it without you.

Mennonite Disaster Service

Here is another organization for you to donate to. They are another worthwhile organization to donate to. But they also need your help in the way of money and goods.

America's Second Harvest

America's Second Harvest is the nation's largest hunger-relief, distributing surplus food to more 23 million hungry American's each year.

That is startling number of people who go hungry each year. But now in this time of disaster, Second Harvest needs your help even more. Every dollar raised brings 15 meals to the table or every raised will help distrubt nearly 4 bags of food. But now more then ever, Second Harvest needs your help.

Which ever organization you choose, please donate as money and goods are always needed.

I pray that the disaster torn areas of the United States will pull through this in time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now on a less depressing note, there was a potluck at church today. It was to kick off the fall season of Sunday school. It was a good time of food, fun, and fellowship, like it always is.

People really seemed to like Matt's cheesecake. It looked really good too. But I HATE banana's!!!! I really stress the word hate. Maybe hate is too strong of a word. I should have said dislike. In any event, it still won't change the fact that I still don't care for banana's. He brought it out near the end and put what looked to be a caramel sauce ontop. That made it look that much better. But as I said, I HATE banana's.

Anyways, Sunday school starts up next week at 11:00 AM after the service. If you are not sure what classes are availiable then don't hesistate to ask around. I do know there is one for the youth. So I will be expecting to see all of the youth up there. If not then who knows what will happen. All I know is that you will not like it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't forget that Tuesday is the Rockin' Drop In. It is one Tuesday of course. As if you couldn't read. Anyways, we will be playing songs that one of us will pick. I picked the last bunch and maybe Marky Mark or Steve can pick this time. I ENCOURAGE the youth to come even if you don't have an instrument. I strongly stress encourage. If you do have an instrument then bring it and play. Don't be like Marcus and complain about this song being too hard after complaining about not playing music. I don't want any defeatest attitudes. If Marky Mark can sing when he normally doesn't then you can play an instrument.

If you do decide to come then bring some supper. Steve and the youths eat supper after rocking out. Rocking out is hard work and works up an apetite. That is why so many 80's rockers are thin. It's because rocking up gives you a work out. All that bouncing around and jumping on stage.

Event: Rockin' Drop In
Where: Gateway Covenant Church
When: Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30
Bring: Yourself, an instrument, and supper

As always I ENCOURAGE you to leave comment in the comment box. Also leave a comment in the guestbook or shout on the tag board.

Keep on rockin' in the free world.

Drip, Drip, Drip Goes The Water & More

It was raining for the past two days. It made things very wet. Monday was the wettest out of the two days. I didn't mind it raining on Monday because I had to work a bingo. Tuesday it didn't rain that much. But it still rained nontheless.

I think that the rain is good. We need it to keep our land from drying up. Rain is essential

James 5:18
18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

Sure rain helps the crops grow, but also the rain can be a bad thing.

Genesis 7:11-12
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
The farmers need enough dry weather so they can get their crops off this year. I pray that all farmers will be safe in this year harvest and also that they can get their crops off before the frost sets in. I know my dad has started harvesting. But he still aways to go yet before his harvesting is done
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, I guess my being tired caught up with me. When my head hit the pillow I feel asleep instantly. I guess I really need to adjust my sleeping patterns. I don't know why I stay up. It's not as if I have anything to do at such a late hour. I guess it's that night hawk in me.

I really can't explain why I stay up. I guess I either need a job where I stay up late or just force myself to go to be earlier. Whatever the case, I need to make some adjuments.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The youth Rock 'N Drop In was so much fun. Marky Mark, Cory, Steve, Thomas, and myself were there. It was great to see Mark just let go of his fears and sing. We did not judge him. But I do commend him for trying. After I left to go to work, I felt so pumped up. I believe it was the first ever that I left the youth Rock 'N Drop In feeling that way. I will be there next week.

I encourage any of the youth to come to the Rock 'N Drop In.

Where: Gateway Covenant Church
When: Tuesdays: 3:30-5:30
Bring: An instrument and supper. If you don't play an instrument then just bring yourself and some supper.

I hope to see you there.

Keep on rockin' in the free world.

Pulling Posts & Awesome Fireworks

Where do it start with today entry. Well nothing too exciting happened for majority of the day. I went to church then I came home. I then sat online till about 6-6:30ish. I cut some grass for awhile. Whoopy! Fun, fun, fun! Well not really but it had to be done. A little bit later I helped by dad pull some posts out of the ground in the field. We did that for about an hour or so. That was not that fun either. But it had to be done as well.

Later I went to the fireworks at Prime Ministers Park. The fireworks were to celebrate my home province, which is Saskatchewan's birthday. If you were not there then you missed on hell of a fireworks show. It was amazing, awesome, awe inspiring, incredible. It was worth going back into town for.

Happy birthday Saskatchewan!

Remember to learn it, use it, and never forget.

Tales From The Fish: Vince, Brock, & More

Well, I am back writing another column. I haven't written one in sometime. I go through periods of not writing columns. So I thought I would try and do one regularly. But on this edition of Tales From The Fish I will be talking about a few things. So lets get right to it.

Where do I begin on the first topic? We all know that Vince McMahon has a so-called "big man" fetish. That is why we have seen big men such as Batista, JBL, Undertaker, etc., etc. pushed really well. But what I don't get is how Kane or Big Show are not pushed at all. Instead Kane, for the past few years has been pushed as a main event jobber. It's sad that Kane has been relegated to jobber. When Kane first came into the WWF/WWE, he was a pushed as an unstoppable monster. But Kane could have been so much bigger. But it seems as though the WWE put up a brick wall and said no. We don't want to push you. That makes Vince look bad because we all know how Vince likes to push big men. Kane just need something to get himself out of the this funk as being known as a main event jobber. The last main even match he had was against Batista for the World Heavyweight title on RAW and we all know how that ended.

Now there is Big Show who has gone through many pushes. But now nothing. He hasn't been on RAW in the last couple of weeks. The last thing he did was team with Shelton Benjamin and defeated Chris Masters and Gene Snitsky. Big deal, he beat Snitsky and Masters. Like that will do anything to further his career. It's just he gets pushed hard for a few months, then nothing. If he was pushed decently all the time then there would be no problems. Sure, Big Show may not be the most talented wrestler. But he is the modern day Andre The Giant. So why not push him as the so. Instead we have the WWE giving pushes to the likes of Masters on RAW and JBL on Smackdown.

If Vince knew how to use the big men to their fullest then we wouldn't see Kane as a main event jobber. We also wouldn't see Big Show being pushed when someone is needed. Big Show and Kane are both deserving of pushes in my opinion.
==========================================================
Now it seems as the rumors of Brock Lesnar returning to the WWE have died down. As you may or may not know, Brock Lesnar was supposedly in contract talks with the WWE to return. But a couple of week ago the contract talks have died down. Some people may think that this all just a work. I for one don't think that this is a work. The term work has become overused in my opinion due to the Matt Hard/Edge/Lita situation and the Chris Jericho/WWE situation. So I for hope this is real. But there are reasons that I don't want Brock Lesnar to return.

For one thing, the last time Brock was in the WWE, he went through the entire roster. I for one think that was stupid. He didn't deserve to go through the entire roster like there is no tomorrow. Sure he may have some talent but that doesn't mean that gives him the right to go through the entire roster. Even Kurt Angle didn't go through the roster. Sure Kurt Angle was pushed hard his first year in the WWE but he at least didn't go through the entire roster like Brock.

Another thing is that Brock Lesnar was too green and immature for his push. That didn't help him at all. You can have all the talent in the world but if you are green then it is not going to help you one bit. I for one would have built him up and let him mature before giving him this massive push. Being green and getting a huge is not always a good thing.

Next point I am going to make is that Brock Lesnar left the WWE to go fullfill some dream he head. That was wanting to play football in the NFL. I can't respect him for wanting to achieve his dream. But he did it for the wrong reasons. He left the WWE because he doesn't want to travel. Well, in the NFL you do travel. That makes Lesnar a hypocrite for not wanting to travel with the WWE but he will travel while being in the NFL. Also Brock Lesnar left the WWE because he didn't like his character. Well, life isn't always fair. Brock needs to pick up his balls and move on. Brock couldn't even make it in the NFL. He couldn't even make second string or even the practice squad. That's how big of a lamer Lesnar is. He basically sold out to achieve a dream. He only made it that far in the NFL because of who he is. I don't respect that.

All in all bringing Brock Lesnar back would be a bad idea. Sure people say that the WWE needs someone. But look, the WWE has enough guys getting pushed aside for the likes of JBL on Smackdown and Masters on RAW. Bringing back Brock Lesnar would only make it worse.
==========================================================
The final topic on this edition of Tales From The Fish is Hulk Hogan. No I am not going to praise the ever loving shit out of him. I am going to do the opposite. I am going to tell you what is wrong with him.

First off, I shouldn't have to tell you that he is slow in the ring. Just look at him in his match against Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam. Hogan was slow when he was whipped off the ropes. Anybody could tell you that. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out. I am mean sure you may still have the heart to be in this business but that doesn't mean he should be wrestling. It would be so bad if Hogan was a manager or something. He would still get massive pops, but we wouldn't have to sit through another boring Hogan match.

The next I thing I can't stand is Hogan not wanting to lay down for someone. The most infamous incident of this is the Finger Poke Of Doom where Kevin Nash over sold the move and laid down for Hogan. What does Hogan have against losing to someone. Just because he rose to such heights doesn't mean shit in my books. The most recent is that Hogan never layed down for Shawn Michaels. But the thing about it is that Hogan would lay down for The Rock and Ultimate Warrior. Just because he is the biggest superstar in the history of wrestling doesn't make him excempt from losing a match.

Now I have a problem with his leg drop. He has been using the leg drop as his finishing move for over twenty years. I mean it has lacked credibility for well over ten years. Think about it, when the Big Show does a leg drop, people kick out. But when it comes to Hogan people have to let Hogan pin them. I could very easily kick out of Hogan's crappy leg drop. I bet he doesn't even come down with full force. His leg drop has become more pathetic looking over the years. He could have came up with a different finishing move ten to fifteen years ago. You can only the leg drop for so long before it doesn't look as effective. Although I will admit that Hogan is at a point in his career where he doesn't need to cange his finishing move.

Yes I will admit that as a kid, I was a Hogan. But that is no the case any longer. I am now sick of seeing Hogan try to hang onto any last shred of his career he has.

That will do it for me and this edition of Tales From The Fish. Remember to learn it, use it, and never forget it. Thanks for reading and see you on the flipside.
